Fiji Wedding Resorts
All Fiji wedding resorts will arrange for necessary paperwork and celebrant. You will need to obtain a marriage liscense from the nearby town (Nadi, Sigatoka, Lautoka or Suva) a day or two before your wedding. Traditional wedding options include warrior parade, traditional tapa cloth dress and meke dance. Some of the large resorts offer a local Indian photographer in their wedding package. I have worked alongside some of these photographers and I find their photographic style very posed and two photographers always get in the way of each other - a few of them are rather pushy. If you wish to hire me as a photographer for your special day, I find it best that you ask the resort to cancel the other photographer even though you may still have to pay for it ...
For large groups (say 30 + guests) it is best to stick to the large resorts unless you manage to book a year in advance when availability should be OK. Otherwise, smaller groups will find more personality from the smaller resorts where staff know guests by name and offer more flexability for their wedding arrangements. If you are getting married without friends or family, consider a small intimate resort where you will be made to feel extra-specfial on your wedding day and without too many other "non-wedding" guests peering in at you.
The following is a list of my personal recommended Fiji resorts for weddings. The links will take you to www.Pacific-Resorts.com from which you can obtain more information, pictures and competitive booking quotes via my wife's travel agency, Beautiful Pacific.
