Information about Getting Married in Fiji
Obtaining a Marriage Licence
The practicalities of obtaining a marriage licence are very straightforward and all resorts will help with the paperwork.
At least two days before the wedding, you’ll need to visit the local registrar or district office open Mon to Fri 8am to 3pm and fill out a simple form providing your:
original birth certificates,
passports,
written parental consent if under 21 years and
a copy of divorce papers, Decree Nisi or death certificate for second marriages.
Fee: around $25
Where:
Nadi District Office, on the first floor of Ratu Napolioni House on Koroivolu Avenue, close to the police station in Nadi Town, tel 670 0101;
Sigatoka District Office, Lawaqa Road, tel 650 0014;
Other registrars or district offices are in Suva, Lautoka, Savusavu, Labasa and Taveuni.
